Index of Economical Assessment In Environmental Economics, there is an approach from the viewpoint of victims. This approach is for social problems in local area. Intermediate system theory is one of such theories.
Intermediate system theory considers capital, industry, traffic, life style and government as intermediate system. And it proposes that the level of the problems depend on the system.
Intermediate system theory is an environmental economics theory. But I do not feel it as an economic theory.
On the other hand, in environmental economics, population problem and the North-South problem are discussed. Those problems have strong relation with globalization. Population problem is a key problem in Fusion of Ecology and Economy because human beings are one of the creatures.
