Energy (Thermodynamics and Exergy)

There are laws which are difficult to receive. In environmental study , "Entropy increase law" is popular. Entropy is a quantity in thermodynamics.

• First Law : Energy in isolated system is constant
• Second Law : Entropy in isolated system increases

Exergy

Exergy is introduced like "Exergy is useful part of energy". Exergy is the work (energy) by equilibrium condition.

• Exergy is similar to entropy because it is not constant.
• Exergy is more useful than entropy because it is the quantity of heat.

Exergy is used in environmental economics to analyze efficiency.
