Response Surface Method

Response Surface Method (RSM) is one of Multi-Regression Analysis . We can find maximum or minimum by second degree of term.

RSM could be used if the data is not from experiments.

Experiments to Use Response Surface Method

More than three levels are needed to make the surface.

If predicted maximum or minimum is outside of the range of the experiment, we should experiment lower or higher levels of factors.
